If by C Record you mean the straight parallelogram derailleur from the late 80s/early 90s, it will not work as well as a modern double pivot slant parallelogram. The unit does not track the cogs as closely as the current design. With careful set up, it will shift, just as it shifted with the Campy Syncrho II down tube shifters. How well it shifts might be acceptable to some people and unacceptable to others. All this could be compounded by the possibility of a different amount of cable pull from the Ergo shifters vs. the Synchro II shifters - I'm not tuned into that level of detail, though I suspect that someone on this board can answer that one. cthomas 10-30-2005, 04:34 AM Check out these two sites. Branford Bike is my source for Campy knowledge when I am trying to figure things out. This links you in to the derailleurs. You may have to surf a little. http://www.branfordbike.com/campy/campy.html#RearDerailleurs Campy Only also has a lot of information about compatability. http://www.campyonly.com/ |
