After 5 faithful years of service my Silca Super Pista snapped off it's base on Friday. The metal spanner where the pump attaches to the base with the screws and about 25% of the support flanges that hold the pump steady fatigued and broke off. My first thought was no big deal, I've always heard that every piece on a Silca is replacable. I took it into my LBS and they can't find a replacement base. I just did a Goggle search and I struck out as well. Has anyone heard or seen where I might find a Silca base replacement part.

If not I'll be honing up my high school shop skills and building one out of wood.

I think that you can just about any part except the base, the main tube, and an "official" silica hose.
Mine's over 15 years old, the only parts replaced have been the head gaskets and one main pump cup gasket. The pump head gaskets would only last a year until I switched to tubes with stems without threads.

QBP doesn't have a part for the base. Mine was loose so I epoxyed it back to the main tube/shaft of the pump. Then I screwd the whole thing to a 10" long piece of 2x6. Works like a champ.
