Hi to all canadian riders
I live in Montreal and I'm planning to buy a Pinarello.
Thinking of going with a 2005 build with all the components I prefer or with the package offered on the 2006 (Ultegra and MOST components) and Shim WHR 550 wheels.
Would like to have comments by canadian riders who tried or are owners of Pinarello bikes.
Thanks

which pinarello?
Dogma, prince, paris???
Sorry forgot to mention wich model.
Planning to go with either of those 3 options:
1.Galileo 2005 with the components I want (Chorus F+B Der, FSA crank, seatpost, stem & handlebars, Campy Neutron wheels.
2.Galileo 2006 package with Ultegra, MOST components and WHR 550 wheels
3. Paris FP 2006 with same components as 2005 Galileo.
So obviously, I would like comments on those models or years before but even on others (Dogma,Prince)
Thanks

What I know about Prince and Dogma... you need POWER to make those bike alive, those 2 bike are very very rigid (BB) and when the power fade... the bike too. Actually there are not the lightest bike on the market.
I don't know about the Galileo, the only good thing for me is that with the onda rear and front fork it looks like to a Dogma ;)
I guess that if you want to purschase a Pinarello if for the Name, the prestige, isn't it?
I don't know the price, but depending on your needs/power I would suggest you to see other brand.
Regarding the two model 2005 or 2006,..... euh if you buy a pinarello please choice Campagnolo, please! Also Chorus works so well, with a firm selection, like a ferrari shiftter. ;)
Cheers

Hi there:
I have a Pinarello Vuelta (all steel), four Princes and I recently acquired an F4:13.
The F4:13 really blew me away - stiff, nimble, responsive and a great ride - even comfortable! The F4:13 is also a great value - much less expensive than its' counterparts (and the Paris FP)...see if you can try one out somewhere...you won't regret it!

PS - the Princes are great - incredibly stiff...but are slightly heavier and a harsher ride. I like them due to their traditional look & feel - and the speed they can carry on the flats & downhill!

You sure are a great fan of Pinarello.
Really nice collection of bikes.
Did you have some of your bikes custom repainted.

Would like to know the cost of F4:13 frame compared to Galileo.
Heard from a shop that the 2005 Galileo frame was around 2350 canadian dollars.
I might have a chance to get a 2005 F4:13 in my size if price is suitable to my budget.
Thanks

40Dave:
I have acquired these bikes over the last 5 years. All were brand new bikes and the only one that I got through personal request, was the Telekom model - which my friendly local Pinarello dealer asked Pinarello to do for me when he was visiting Pinarello in Italy. Due to his lifelong association with Pinarello and me having purchased 4 of my Pinarellos from him, they acquiesced (begrudgingly I understand) and painted that frame in the exact Telekom Team colours that year.
The other bike that I had to track down was the Limited Edition - "Tribute to the Green" Edition - commemorating Erik Zabel's string of green jerseys in the Tour de France - which I found in the US through another friendly dealer that I had done previous business with. I understand that there are only a handful of these models in North America.
