I went to a local velodrome swap meet in san diego the other day, i recently took a job at a bike shop and hear my boss constantly talking about colnagos and their beauty... so at the swap meet i see this man with a colnago thats more my style (simple paint job) and i picked the frame and fork up for $200 flat.
here are some pics of it and i was wondering what you colnago enthusiasts think of it... i personally wanted to build it as a full campy single speed (42/17) but my boss almost wont let me, ha, and hes tellin me 10 speed campy. what do you think? what era do you think this is? etc. any feedback about anything you think of it will be greatly appreciated.
umm, don't!

personally, i think that, this being an older frame, carbon would look way out of place and think your SS suggestion is right on the money. what is more elegant than a beautiful italian steel SS.

also, if you are going to blow $2-3k on a groupset, i wouldn't hang it off a $200 frame!

however, the biggest thing is to do whatever you are happy with...you are going to be the one riding it every day, not your boss or anyone on this site.
