I'm flying to Winnipeg for a few days at the end of April. Anybody know of a good bike shop that would rent me a road or 'cross bike so that I could get a good ride or two in while I'm in town? Any recomended rides?
Thanks in advance,
Bryan, down the road in Saskatoon

Hey Brian, email me directly to remind me, and I'll ask at my LBS (I'm good friends with them). What size are you, and would you be bringing your own pedals/shoes?
I can't promise anything, but I'd be glad to help out. My email is ljklassen@mts.net - talk to ya soon,
Larry

Thanks Larry,
My original question was regarding a visit to Winnipeg in about late April of last year. As it turned out, I had no time available for cycling. I had my 2 year old daughter with me and the main reason we were there was for my wife to go to a conference. With her at the conference for 2 days, I couldn't very well abandon my daughter & head off for a bike ride. We did get lots of walking along the rivers & around downtown Winnipeg in. I had the backpack carrier with me so we made good use of it and covered many miles. We extended our stay over the weekend but that time was taken up with visiting relatives. I was hoping to steal away during this visiting time to get a good ride in but alas, it was not to be. We did have a beutiful day in your wonderful zoo though.
I'll have to check in with you if we end up heading your way this summer. My brother-in-law moved into a new house last summer so I guess we should probably go visit him and check it out. This time we'd likely drive however so bringing bikes for all three of us should be no problem.
I did find a bike shop willing to rent me a road bike by the way, but of course I no longer have any idea which shop it was since I was unable to pursue it further.
Cheers,
Bryan
