I am building a flat bar road bike for my brother.
We have a 2004 Jake the Snake 58 cm frame on the way). I was looking to use FSA Enegry Compact cranks (36x50, 175mm) that I have w/ a 68x108 BB. However the frame specs say the frame uses a 68x113 BB.
Think I'll have issues?
Thanks all.

The FSA use ISIS, I don't know what the Kona specs are citing square or taper. Don't even know how to find that out. Does it make a difference?

I'm rockin FSA SLK carbon compac with a 68x108 isis and I have no issues. I have 2 jake the snake frames, one 2005 and one older (dunno the year) and the setup works fine on either. Note that I'm not using the stock wheelset and instead use either kyserium SSC's or Velomax Circuits.

68 is the BB width. This remains the spec for the frame.
The 108 or 113 are spindle lengths, and are independent of the frame but depend on the cranks. Check your FSA specs, but I bet it requires 108 (pretty standard ISIS double).

I can't speak for the JTS or the Energy, but I tried to run an FSA Gossamer MegaExo on my Monk, which is also designed for a 113mm bottom bracket and the crank arms had very little clearance with the chainstays (2mm maybe). On a muddy day, it would rub just a little. Just yesterday I traded the crankset for a used Durace Octalink crank with a 109.5mm bottom bracket. It's a bit better, but I may need to buy a 113 if the combo flexes enough to rub.
