Here are some shots I took on the way home. Just some random stuff including a house along the canal, a car turning onto the path, a banyan tree that is getting kind of low, and other shots.

Where are the markings for Mauka, Makai, Ewa and Kona? :D BTW Yesterday coming in to work the temps were in the high 60's and humid-felt just like Hawaii. Today alas we returned to reality. Good thing I like the cold! BTW2 Dude, you got to get your heart rate up! YuriB 11-17-2005, 06:05 AM Are those chickens in the first shot? I love the everyday commute posts. bigbill 11-17-2005, 06:51 AM Are those chickens in the first shot? I love the everyday commute posts. Yes. The section on MUT was kind of rough in that one spot so the picture didn't come out that great. I should keep a scorecard of the animals I see on the MUT. Chicken, Fish, cats, dogs, mongoose, etc. Ridgetop 11-17-2005, 07:47 AM Yes. The section on MUT was kind of rough in that one spot so the picture didn't come out that great. We know the fish survived though as you showed the evidence awhile back. But how about those chickens? Ever hit one? bigbill 11-17-2005, 09:54 AM Have you ever turned any of the critters to roadburger? We know the fish survived though as you showed the evidence awhile back. But how about those chickens? Ever hit one? I try to avoid the chickens. I did flush out a group of doves a few months back and one flew through my front wheel. A thump and a bunch of feathers flew but the bird emerged ok and flew off. The mongoose are quick and skittish and usually well out of the way. I have had a few cross the path and end up going between the wheels. My biggest complaint is the cat population. As I have mentioned before, we have mongoose. They were brought to the island to deal with rat infestation. The issue was that rats are nocturnal and mongoose are not. The cats should take care of the rat problem, but the old ladies feed them so they have no motivation to hunt. You would think that since a mongoose can kill a cobra, a cat would be easy prey. Not. fbagatelleblack 11-17-2005, 09:59 AM Dude your crazy!!! I'd never wear sandels on a bike, especially with such a huge big toe! Hardcore. bigbill 11-17-2005, 12:07 PM Impressive heart rate. You shave your legs and your toes? Hardcore. I use a cigarette lighter on the toe hair, very hardcore. The heartrate hasn't worked since 1998 and the computer doesn't work in the rain. I should just ditch the whole thing, but it fits in with the cluttered handlebar theme. The Shimano version doesn't have the lip around the front. Without it, alot of road grime would get flung into the sandal. I occasionally get a rock in them but unclipping and tapping my foot on the chainstay gets rid of it. I have to ride through an area that has rain every morning and don't want to deal with wet shoes and socks. There are CB candy pedals underneath. fastfullback 11-18-2005, 10:18 AM I am wearing Lake SPD sandals. The Shimano version doesn't have the lip around the front. And jammies with a chamois. |
