Thanks...I'm looking for Polars....the model really doesn't matter. I'm trying not to spend over $100, but my husband doesn't want the basic model either. I was sort of looking at the Polar F6.

These are very nice units, comparable to Polar models costing 3 times as much. The main problem is that Sports Instruments discontinued this model a year or two ago, so the batteries will not be super fresh.

Seems like a good deal!! Can't you change the batteries yourself?? or do you have to send it back to the factory for battery replacement??

Nashbar has the cycling specific Polar S150 for $79.Performance has it as well but apparently they sell the chest strap seperately

Not true. I picked this up last week and it has the chest strap included. It is a really good deal.

You can change the Sports Instruments chest belt battery yourself (maybe a dollar or two for the battery). You might want to have a jewler change the watch battery to protect the water resistance.

I got my Polar S710 on Ebay for a super good price. Be aware though that Polar says buying on Ebay voids the warranty. FOr me I took the risk as the price was way lower than anywhere else.
