Nice to see how much time some people apparently have. I just saw on the news that there is a gentleman in CA, an atheist, who is now suing the federal government to remove the phrase "In God We Trust" from all bills and coins throughout the federal monetary system, as it is "unconstitutional" and represents a violation of the separation of church and state....Personally, I think it probably is a violation, I also think that we have many, MANY more pressing problems, and the government could not afford to recycle all currency currently in play....I wish I had this guys free time... :p

IIRC-there have been several folk over time who have filed such suits...
IEC-Paper currency on avg, according to the treasury dept, only lasts 3-6 months. Although coinage can last for 10s of years.

I agree about the more pressing issues. What our money says on it is way down there for me. I personally wouldn't care if it said "In Allah we trust" or "In Mickey Mouse we trust" as long as it spends the same. That said, it's a free country and you're free to pursue whatever folly you want.

There are always more pressing issues. However, unlike an individual, a nation can multitask quite easily. Especially on the less pressing problems. Often the small stuff becomes big stuff if left to fester.
The '54 pledge change and the '55 money addition were wrong. Time to fix.

Yup, it has no business being on our currency. If the Founders thought it relevant, essential or prudent for it to be on our currency they would have done so. Alas, they didn't and their wisdom far exceeds that of those who defend it being there.

Hey I'll take them off his hands. I hope he goes broke doin' it. What a jerk. I wouldn't be surprised if he is using this case to profit in some way.
