Spero 11-21-2005, 08:55 PM Why are you asking us cheapskates? You should post this to "Not So Hot deals." I've ordered from them and had no problems...quality products and timely shipping. In fact, the item I ordered didn't fit, and I had no problems returning it. rdbike 11-22-2005, 03:57 AM I bought my Look from them and was very satisfied. They did a great job on all aspects of the order. Bike was on time and packed well. Scotty2Hotty 11-22-2005, 06:01 AM I ordered some tires from them... Shipping was timely. I can't comment on what it's like to buy a bike, however. idris icabod 11-22-2005, 06:53 AM Bought complete bikes from them twice. Brendan is very good to deal with and answers e-mails in a very timely manner. The bikes were very well built and packed. I think the prices are competitive, but they sell high end stuff which ain't cheap. I spent a lot of time on line looking for the best deals, and they were on a par. TrailMix 11-22-2005, 08:43 AM I recently got a Merckx Premium from them and have purchased a lot of winter duds since. They're great. I strongly recommend them. cmatcan 11-22-2005, 01:59 PM good stuff guys, thanks. I plan on ordering some eggbeaters from them soon. groundzero 11-23-2005, 09:35 AM i got my Litespeed from Brendan in 2003. superior service before and after the sale. dealing with them made me more comfortable ordering a bike online that actually fit my dimensions rather than the LBS trying to push a frame size that was too big for me but was on the showroom floor. as for pricing, they are "competitive" it doesn't hurt to ask! Tahoma 11-23-2005, 10:44 AM Just got my order from them yesterday. Although they charged me $129 for a Chris King headset...the plastic bag it was in had been open before (it was taped shut) and had a price tag of $113 on it...go figure?? TracerJohn 11-23-2005, 02:51 PM I just received a 05 Teramo. Great price, $1735 delivered. Ordered on Friday. Delivered Tuesday. Best packing I have ever seen. Minimal assembly required on my part. Brakes and shifting tweeked to perfection Excellent service and communication. patatty 11-23-2005, 05:26 PM I just received a 05 Teramo. Great price, $1735 delivered. Ordered on Friday. Delivered Tuesday. Best packing I have ever seen. Minimal assembly required on my part. Brakes and shifting tweeked to perfection Excellent service and communication. That's great to hear. My Teramo will be here on Monday. :D Andy at Competetive Cyclist was very helpful in the purchasing process. Clevor 12-15-2005, 09:56 PM Either Brendan or Andy respond to e-mail the next day. Also, if you are at FPO AP, they offer a 10% DOD discount, which on a high-end bike is whopping! pitt83 12-17-2005, 06:35 AM anybody have good/bad experiences with these guys? i'm thinking of placing an order, which would be an international order, and i wanted some user reviews first. thanks! I bought my LOOK from them and they were excellent with questions and communication. Highly recommended. CycleRaff 12-17-2005, 07:08 AM anybody have good/bad experiences with these guys? i'm thinking of placing an order, which would be an international order, and i wanted some user reviews first. thanks! One of the best, IMHO. Great customer service and support. I've bought components, clothing, a frame and fork, wheels, etc. from them and have always been satisfied. Sometimes, they go above and beyond, I believe. For example, one time last year, I ordered a Craft helmet-liner/beanie thing for the cold weather over the web. Brandon calls me and tells me that Craft has been slow in supplying them stock, and would it be okay if he substituted an Assos Robocap at the same price as the Craft I had ordered. Why, of course it would! While their regular prices generally won't set the world on fire, they do have good deals on closeouts, particularly on clothing, and their customer service makes even purchasing at full retail worth it. Oh yeah, I picked up a pair of Time Impact Mags for $84.99 a month or so ago. Sounds pretty good to me! patatty 12-17-2005, 07:20 AM As a follow-up to my previous post, I will again state that their customer service before/during the sale is good and responsive. However, my Teramo showed up with the wrong size stem, bars and cranks. That's three out of the four "sized" items that they got wrong (thankfully, the frame was the correct size). Andy did send out new parts. Unfortunately, the week that I got the bike was sunny and in the 50's. The following week, when I got the correct parts, we got 13" of snow. So I haven't had a chance to ride it yet. Did they go "above and beyond"? Hardly. They sent me what they should have sent me in the first place. And now I have to spend the time to fix what they screwed up. Of course, I don't mind working on my bike, but not to swap out parts before I have even had a chance to ride it. |
