E-commerce Marketing Manager - Job Description
*Job Description*

The E-commerce Marketing Manager will take the lead to drive sales through our internet channels and ensure that Performance, Inc. sites (Nashbar.com, PerformanceBike.com) exceed our customers’ expectations in all matters
This position requires a highly motivated, hands-on professional with a combination of creative skills and business smarts. Should be comfortable managing both people & process, will direct a variety of internal, contract and ad hoc resources to drive all online efforts
Position reports to VP of Marketing and interacts closely with all lead members of merchandising, graphics, IT and marketing teams

Site/Email Marketing
·Drive all on-site promotions - take the lead to work closely product merchandising and graphics to create compelling, sales generating weekly site and email promotions
Site Management
·Manage & merchandise the Company’s websites. These activities include working with internal product merchandising/graphic teams to ensure all products are effectively merchandised , monitor & improve as needed site navigation/shopability and transaction processes
·Collaborate with internal IT team to monitor site speed, order processing activities; consult with IT team and outside consultants to enact site improvements that involve significant programming
·Measure and track site metrics via WebTrends to develop proactive strategies to improve all on/off site marketing activities
Off Site Marketing
·Develop and execute an online customer acquisition plan designed to maximize site traffic and sales demand – includes paid and natural search (currently in-house), affiliate programs (run through Commission Junction), email marketing, product data feed programs such as Amazon/comparison shopping sites ... and other media-based business-building activities
·Track and measure all online marketing programs; design test strategies and creative to optimize results. Ensure all online marketing is structured to drive incremental sales growth
Other
·Work with Marketing and Merchandising to improve cross-sell & up sell strategies, develop a tracking process to measure effectiveness
·Develop a quick & easy way to monitor key competitors to ensure that Performance, Inc. sites stay ahead of their activity

The successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:
·Working knowledge & a passion for cycling products and cycling lifestyle
·Deep understanding and ability to express our customers’ point-of-view as it relates to how we market to them
·Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
·Strong, confident & self-directed.
·Familiarity with e-commerce best practices. Technical aptitude with hands-on knowledge of dynamic web publishing technologies, familiarity with Html, jscript, asp; DBMS platforms; Cold Fusion; PHP; Flash
·Excellent people & influencing skills (knows how to lead & motivate a team of people from diverse backgrounds) and strong project management experience – including comfort with executive-level presentations
