I am taking the family to Paradise Island (Bahamas) for 5 days next week. Anyone been there and willing to tell me if it is worth the extra hassle of bringing my road bike with me to ride? Thanks in advance.

Paradise Island is very small and relatively crowded. People drive on the left. There are lots of cars on narrow roads. This is an awful environment for road cycling. I never take my bicycle there. Take the family to the aquarium and other exhibits at the Atlantis Hotel.

I am back. I chose not to bring my bike and am glad I didn't. You are correct Centuryx3. Instead, I sat at one of the umpteen hundred pools/waterslides and drank cold Red Stripe while the family frolicked. Ahhhhh, vacation.

If you do need to ride in Nassau , the best area is out at the west end of the island.
There is a 10km loop that you can do without the hassle of our terrible drivers.
Start from the Shell gas station and ride out around the South Ocean golf course or to Coral Harbour and back.
