Has anybody tried the Cycleops Electronic Trainer? I'd like a computrainer, but the price is kind of high? I was wondering how the Cycleops compaired. Anyone know how the Netathlon software works?
Thanks

I can't comment on the Cycleops but I'm running Netathlon on an ancient Blackburn mag trainer with a system from Peak (http://www.peaktrainingsystem.com/page/page/1291199.htm) that sends the cadence and speed info to Nethathlon. I use a Cateye Gamebike steering controller to steer. I don't have the automatic resistance increase/decrease from Netathlon for hills.

I still throw in a Carmichael tape or Spinervals to give some structure to the workout and then run Netathlon at same time. With Netathlon, I can race against past performances of myself on the same course. I'm sure it is not as enjoyable as having the electronic resistance but I still enjoy the set-up as having a past performance as a pacer, I have a realistic rabbit to chase and can evaluate real time if I'm improving having a bad day, etc.

I would like to have the Computrainer or Tacx system but just can't talk myself into laying out that much cash yet.
