Family and I must be at Six Flags at 10 a.m. tomorrow. Have been traveling all week, and would like to get in a ride. Anyone know a safe route that would get me down there to meet them? I don't think 157 would be a good idea that time of day. Could also go out of the way if need be - I ride down to Oakland and 30 on the East side pretty regularly, so if there's a Southern route from there that would work, I could do that, too.

Pretty Easy... Take Brown Traill south until it dead ends into Trinity. Go east on Trinity to Greenbelt Rd. Turn right on Greenbelt. Greenbelt will get you through the "valley" and into Arlington. Take the bike path east that runs along Green Oaks to either Cooper or Fielder. Either of those will take you to 30. From there you can snake you way east to Six Flags.
On a side note. They just competed a new MUT from River Legacy Park off Green Oaks. It goes east for 7 miles and dead ends but it's a great ride.
Thanks, Dave. Have you ridden that way down Greenbelt and found it pretty decent? I thought I had tried that one, then decided there were too many blind curves, too much traffic and not enough shoulder. Now that I think about it, though, it may have been Precinct Line south of Trinity that I I'm thinking of.

No blind curves. You can see from one end to the other andit's about 2 miles long. It's a two lane road with no shoulders but I've never had much traffic on it.
