What are sticky threads? How can I make them go away? I don't want those old threads to show up at the top of my display, I'd like the newest created threads to be on the top, and older threads at the bottom.

You can't. They are like the hot topics on the old board. If you use the "New Posts" on the top tool bar, they don't show up. I like the New Posts option, it shows topics being discussed on all the boards
