I'm looking for the last generation of Suberbe Pro friction only (ie I do not want the index option) downtube shifters (for braze ons, though I don't believe they made a clamp on model in this year). I can't find them anywhere, not even ebay. Does anyone have a set they want to sell or know where I can find some? thanks, Friction_Shifter

look forward to hearing from you.
My favorite friction shifters from that era were:
Mavic/Simplex retro-friction (yes they really called them that)
Campy C Record
Superbe Pro
All three had some sort of spring mechanism built in that made them so smooooth!

The superbe pro I'm speaking of had no spring mechanism. The mechanics were similar to the cyclone (basically just washers). I would love to get a pair of the simplex/mavic (to compliment my mavic rear derailler)but they are costly (like $50 on ebay)
