I live in New York and I'm looking for a late summer vacation with the family. Hoping to squeeze in a century as well.

Any recommendations?

I love NE in the summer and it is a nice drive from NYC area where I live. Ideally, great rides, some good hiking, and possibly something local and interesting for grade school kid.

I'm asking in advance because I'm willing to plan around a good ride.

BTW, I couldn't see a link on your post.

Granite State Wheelmen's Seacoast Century is a great ride -- but late September, technically late summer but ...
and the Narragansett Bay Wheelmen's Flattest Century is another awesome ride.

August -- Mt. Washington Century is fun and has some good hills.
