Anyone out there on the Olympic Penninsula, preferably the North End, looking for someone to train with for STP? I live in Sequim and am always looking for new training partners and routes. I would like to do the ride in one day, but my job may not allow for the time commitment for training. Any like-minded folks please respond.

I cannot believe that no one has replied to you. I live in Hawaii now, but have done the one day STP on three different occasions. Get in touch with West Sound Cyclists to find out when they are doing their "round the Hood Canal training rides". I believe that it is about 120 miles and you could pick up the route on your side of the bridge. If you have never done the one day version I can share a secret with you, your legs don't feel any different between mile 120 and 200. Just remember to eat and drink.

Thanks, bigbill. I will check that out. 120 over here in the hills is probably tougher than 220 in the flatlands for STP, anyway.
