It's been a while since we've had a poll here. Who will the Repubs run for president in '08?

the votes from the prev. 2 elections would never stand up to the scrutiny of the un, manipulated as they were proven to have been by all subsequent investigation.

so why step down now? another convenient nat'l emergency and they can all go into hiding and run their gov't from secure locations. this has been praticed by all the bush syndicate members, and this has been role-played in actual practice since the reagan era.

so yeah, pres for life? at least it has been proven, at least to some, bush knows what is best for america...and the rest of the world.

Ok, I will post it over here in case the other posts get deleted.

Mitt Romney will get the nomination in 08. He is a Governor, has no voting record on the war, didn't know about the wiretaps, good looking, articulate, and has been successful so far in office. I don't see anyone from either house who is electable. John McCain may be popular now, but he will show his true personality as the campaign progresses. I think that he is considering a run more out of a sense of duty than actually wanting the office. Rudy G has too many skeletons in the closet and is not in line with the platform.

Is AJS back?

I agree with you that both parties would be smart to nominate some without a voting record, especially the Dems.

AJS? I figured I should put the last choice in because it was bound to come up. :)

Senator George Allen from Virginia should get the nod. He is a classic Jeffersonian Republican or as I call it these days RetroCon. Now he just needs the money to fight with the big dogs. He came in third in the straw poll @ the last months' RNC meeting in Tenn. Things are looking up!

Damn it, don't you know there's a war on! Why do you want to weaken the President and the country? An election would be an immediate threat to our national security. Would you like to see the proof of WMDs in a mushroom cloud?

Until the war on terrorism ends Bush will declare himself President. You're either with him or against him.

Anyone who opposes GWB the Great will get a one way trip to GITMO.

sorelian would have come earlier when he felt his ears burning but alas his ears were burning because after drinking a mixture of wild turkey and nyquil sorelianpassed out on an oven burner some salve neosporin and a shout out to his sorelians good friend van goh and he is ready to answer the questions of his minions answer the questions of the next age the age of bush (sorelian is tired of pictorials where they are shaved) jeb bush that is and the answer to the question is not who will be the next president but who will be our first king that is king jeb and the movement is working steadfastly barely taking a break to read the articles and focusing on nothing more than the glossy airbrushed pictures but sorelian digresses but sorelian does miss the days of the seventies when razors were used only for mens faces you have mentioned mccain but he is nothing to the movement he believes in usurping democracy by sucking up to demogogues ha if he were a true radical like the movementarians he would know that it is best to suck up to demogogues in order to end democracy that is where he misses the boat that and he seems to be rational at times and that will never ever do plus you can never tell about people that actually fought in wars and know what it is like they are not to be trusted better to learn about the wars you avoided in books or better yet a quick paragraph from a leaflet about the war that you were smart enough to avoid all the better to send our next generation which will be greatly increased by guest workers and a ban on all forms of contraception including masturbation which may force sorelian to read an article or to and to focus less on miss march

sorelian speaks and the world listens for the internet is the place the movement began and hopefully the internet will remain free from commerce and pornography as it should be a clean spiritual place for the movement to grow1111111111111

Isn't Mitt Romney a Mormon or did I dream that? I don't think the religious right would ever let a Mormon capture the Republican nomination.

stands a chance. they'll be a kowtowing FundiCon guaranteed. MCCain wouldn't be sucking up if it wasn't so. What I'm really let down about is that when the Dem party went way left the moderates revolted and became the Reagan democrats. Their protest vote got the party to swing back toward the middle. I'm not seeing that in the Mod Rep's who seem to think turning their party over to a bunch of apocalypse seeking, civil liberties crushing theocrats is better than the Dems whose moderate track record (Clinto) did nothing but lead America to peace and prosperity.

I don't ever see any US presidents named Newt in our future. First names like Millard and Ulysses are as weird as we'll go when it comes to our presidents. We go for guys named George, James, John, William and occasionally Andrew.
