View Full Version : Poll: Who Will the Dems Run For President in '08? il sogno 04-03-2006, 09:03 PM Now's your chance. Same reasons that I gave for Romney on the other side. Again, no one with a voting record on any of the hotbutton issues such as the war, wire tapping, and immigration will be electable in 08. thatsmybush 04-04-2006, 03:33 AM Mark Warner former Governor of Virginia. He has the time to run against Hillary, the Southern favorability...and a good infrastructure. If he can win the S. Carolina primary...he will roll... (Mike Easley as a running mate? If he can win the S. Carolina primary...he will roll... (Mike Easley as a running mate? N.C. governor...) I was thinking the same thing, although if Feingold runs, he's going to get my support through the primaries, mostly because I like his sense of ballsiness. Warner though has a good chance I think. I was reading an article about Gore the other day, and they claim that losing was good for Gore, and that he's a stronger better politician now. I think he should do the party a favor, and not run. Same for Hillary, Kerry, and a few others should just not stick their noses into it. Don't know about Easley as VP, although that could work. Southern Governor, pro death penalty, and all of that other good stuff that voters seem to like. Snakebit 04-04-2006, 04:59 AM Warner seems to be a credible possibility and I think Elliot Richardson from New Mexico might be a dark horse here. He seems to be politically sensible and can make a Hispanic connection. He could be a good VP for whomever is chosen if he isn't the front runner. mohair_chair 04-04-2006, 07:38 AM The chance of a Senator being elected President is very slim, considering we haven't had a former Senator elected President since Nixon, and he only served for two years, almost 20 years before. The last sitting Senator elected was Kennedy. Put some Governors on the list. il sogno 04-04-2006, 09:59 AM Warner seems to be a credible possibility and I think Elliot Richardson from New Mexico might be a dark horse here. Bill Richardson would be a good candidate, yes. atpjunkie 04-04-2006, 11:31 AM Feingold maybe a VP. I'm sorry but there are still a load of American's who wouldn't be capable of voting for Feingold for Pres. Just like women, some American's just ain't ready for someone of the Jewish faith or a Jewish surbame.Specially in the Bible Belt and those who believe the elite Jewish Intellectual Media types are ruining the country. svend 04-04-2006, 11:56 AM Now's your chance. Again I'm going with other: Dems will throw some panny waste flipfopper with no nads to call the cons on all their BS and criminal conduct. Diebold will again throw the election to Jeb. There will be riots, mayhem and a general sense of malaise. I hope that I am wrong but ocean front property can be had for under 400k in NZ if I'm not.........sheep, ya get used to 'em or so I'm told |
