Where's the anger over the loss of civil rights? Freakin kids today are like lambs to the slaughter. Not saying I approve of underage drinking, but what are we teaching these kids? Submit to the tests kiddies...if you've done nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about. If I were these kids I'd rent out a warehouse and have my own prom.

Student Alex Clare, who is helping organize the prom, said he supports testing for alcohol.
"If I'm not drinking, then it doesn't bother me. I think some people are mad at it, but I can see why they did it," Clare said.

WHat is the world coming to? Are these kids clients at Balco?

Eighteen of the top 35 lambs in the National Western Stock Show's Junior Market Lamb competition in January were found to have been injected with a foreign substance and have been disqualified, the stock show announced Wednesday.

The 18 exhibitors - aged 9 to 19, from all across the country - will get neither prize money nor the proceeds from the sale of their lambs, and they may face other sanctions, said National Western spokeswoman Kati Anderson.

Also, the Denver district attorney's office is investigating the matter for any criminal violations

This isn't a civil rights issue--you have no right to attend the prom. The school can set the terms by which the prom can be held, and if you choose to go, you must accept those terms.

If you don't like the terms, find an old barn somewhere outside of town, get a boombox, grab the preacher's daughter and throw your own dance.

agree...and that's why I said if I were a student at that school I'd organize my own party.

Really...they all seem to just roll over and pee. Where are the protestors? The angry and disenfranchised? When you're 17 you're supposed to disagree with everything The Man is doing.

Hey, they are just as shallow and materialistic as most of America. Most of the protesters I encountered during the IMF demos of the late 90's were there as a pose anyway. It just seemed as though they thought it was something cute to do before going to their job at a Fortune 500 company after college, while the rest will work at an independent record store...

I am also beginning to think, Mr. Jones, that you look for excuses to insert Clash references...LOL

They can't help it, they're the "Ritalin Nation." They were stoned on drugs throughout their grade and middle school years.

Yeah, we need to focus on Math and Sciences, so no more phys ed for you. What, the kids are now agressive, and misbehaving, and obese...etc. Just give them some Ritalin. It's the American way.
