Everyone be on the look out for anyone selling bikes out of Marbella, Spain or anything else for that matter! Someone based out of this city is running many ebay scams currently under the name/alias Derek Wishart! I was scammed over a Trek 5900 in a classic scam story- unfortunately I found this site too late, to truly get informed about the scam scene. In doing research about this alias/person I have come across many Ebayers buying things as diverse as watches, bikes and even expensive gear for horses that have been ripped off by someone using a bank account in Marbella, Spain. I believe this to be a central point for some sort of fraud scheme. This guy is very savvy with computers and manufactures "look-a-like" notices from Ebay as well as sends you a digital copy of a Spanish, Passport.
Be Careful! and as many people on this site suggest never, never, never send money for expensive items in any other way than escrow or actually picking the item up at the point of money exchange especially for international sells.
I have been researching Ebay since I was scammed, and I truly believe 1 out of every 2 high-end bikes for sale is fraudulent. Ebay does not care about this problem,(nor is it proactive about security concerns) nor can you trust that the Ebay ID you see is accurate. In both my case and others ripped off by this guy a stolen Ebay Identity was used with over 500 positive feedbacks! (Ebay ID khuu327) If an offer seems too good to be true do not trust it!
If anyone has any info regarding Marbella, Spain scams or Derek Wishart scams please let me know as I am currently working with the Marbella police and the U.S. Embassy to put this slime-bucket out of business! He is making 1000s of dollars a day.

Seems like he's peddling non-existant watches, too.
