I'm thinking of getting a r700 triple.....wondering if anyone knows what this bike weighs, also looking at the r800 or 1000.....any info would be appreciated as well as what you paid, cannondale is kinda stingy about information at their website. Correct me if i'm wrong, but am i correct in saying that the whole R line up uses the same CAAD 8 Optimo frame, but are hung with different parts....I know the R700 triple is kinda the bottom of the line, but i really dont need more bike than that....but i would like it to be light and fast :)

I recently purchased an R700 double, it is pretty light and very fast. I love it, it is my first road bike. I went with the silver frame with the gray and blue lettering. Sorry I can't help you with weight of the bike, but it is fairly light. Probably one of the lighter/lightest bikes in this price/component range.

A 52cm triple with pedals weighs 19lbs and change...just a hair under 20. It's very respectable, but no gossamer.
