I live near Aspen and need to buy new wheels for my wife. Both Excel Sports (Boulder) and Colorado Cyclist have good reputations for building high quality wheels. SDizzle 05-21-2006, 04:49 AM Excel or Vecchio's in Boulder. There's probably a wait time for Vecchio's, though. bigbill 05-21-2006, 09:59 AM Schwab Cycles in Lakewood. Smaller setup than Excel and CC, good personalized service. I have two sets of wheels from them. Wheels don't leave before a final check by Bruce Schwab. www.schwabcycles.com SenorBlanco 05-21-2006, 12:42 PM I know I have seen builder in the Boulder area talked about. I don't own any of his road wheels (yet) but when I need a set built for my road bike I'll definitely get him to build them. Plus his prices are typically the best by a good amount. |
