I'm originally from NZ, but have lived in Sydney for almost 3 years now. This has been more than enough time to become infatuated with the good weather and a local girl. My fate here is probably sealed! Looking out my window now, it's raining intermittently, and about 14 degrees. Could be a day for the indoor trainer, and the 2004 Tour DVD. schrodinger's flat 08-13-2006, 03:47 AM Brisbane City - Mount Glorious... Questions: Is there a local forum with a little more traffic than this one? Does anybody know of a reputable bike shop that would rent me a 56cm bike for the month? (Qantas wants a billion dollars to ship a bike.) I'd bring my own pedals and saddle of course... Thanks! /Peter afie 09-22-2006, 05:28 PM http://www.cycling.net.au/ http://www.bv.com.au/forums/ Doesnt Qantas allow two pieces of baggage from the us? You could easily put a bike into a bike box. I had a bike, lots of padding, all my biking gear and cardboard box add up to 20kgs. The rest of your gear could go in a second bag. Max is 32kgs per bag I think. PhatG 09-24-2006, 01:50 AM Go the WARATAHS - well next year... I live in Sydney & have recetly started cycling. How about the heat over the last few days! fuch 10-26-2006, 04:02 PM hi all in kew, melbourne, near the start of the kew boulevard -john FTR 10-29-2006, 10:59 AM Based in Brisbane. Have ridden MTB for quite a few years with a couple on singlespeeds. Took up track a month or so ago and have just bought my first proper roadie last week. New rig is a Specialized Allez Comp, track bike is an 80's Reynolds 531 steel Van Werkhoven. FTR 10-29-2006, 11:36 AM Oh yeah. And we are Aussie's. The Wizard would have been an Ozzie. |
