Do frame builders generally build around an optimum stem length? I've heard that a 110 to 120 stem is what fitters usually strive for. I know different body types will require different fit methods but my question really lies in what the frame builders are trying to acheive. Do they design their frames with certain stem lengths in mind for optimum handling?
