I'll be spending a week camping in Grand Bend and was wondering what the road riding was like. Is there any country roads or is it all busy highway?
Thanks in advance for the help. :D

Thanks in advance for the help. :D Chainstay 07-09-2006, 06:27 PM I took a MTB when I camped there, but from driving around I have a few comments. Riding in the Pinery is good but it's only about a 15km loop. It actually worked out great for my wife and kids. Riding on Highway 21 would not be good, no shoulder and lots of trucks and camper vehicles. There are a lot of nice paved roads going inland. Check out http://www.bikeontours.on.ca/ for a selection of maps. There are also some brochures you can pick up from the local tourist information. Check out the Grand Bend flee market on Saturday morning, (not cycling related). |
