up at 0500, out the door with the fixie at 0530. Ride to my volunteer check point by 0630 to count riders. I was stationed at the Princess Cruise Lines corporate offices in Valencia, CA. They had a contest running with other local offices to see how many people would ride in. I stuck around until 0930 and signed in a total of 13 bikers. Not a lot, but not bad either since many of them rarely ride and took this as an opportunity to get out and exercise. At 10:00 I caught the commuter train into work. Cool day.

0600: On your left! sigh

0615: SUVs are pretty. Must....put....down.......checkbook. What Would Jesus Drive?

0625: work it, girl.

0630: these two were waiting for me to show up. They rode about 8-10 miles one way, and don't usually ride. Way to go, ladies! (I think the one on the left likes me).

0700: She didn't bike to work. But she did have her morning smoke. Sad.

Thanks for the report. My cousin lives in Thousand Oaks, and your pics remind me of some good rides we’ve had out there.

That last picture! Wow, looks like the usual frequenter of the "smoking porch" aka "The front entrance" to the building where I work.

I got up this morning and rode a roundabout route to work to hit 6 commuter stations set up by the local bike club. At the first one I realized they weren't tallying riders who went past, so my attempts to pad the stats were useless. But I got a lot of free water bottles and energy bars out of it.

I didn't want to discourage any rookies out there by zipping past them, but man - some people were going slow.

Thanks for the pics!
