I'm looking to buy a cheaper cyclocross bike soon. I've been looking at the ibex x-ray sport and it seems like a pretty good deal. Are there any bikes in the same price range? Are there any bikes that are even cheaper? thanks.

get a used complete bike on ebay or the classifieds here.

Personally, Id rather spend $550 and get a bike thats 4 yrs old, has Ultegra level on it and originally cost like $1200

than spend $550 on a new Sora bike.

You can also check out the new Motobecane Fantom Cross Bike offered by www.bikesdirect.com $695 total with shipping! Not a bad deal at all.

I have not tried this bike out or seen it in person, however I have 2 friends of mine that ride their Road bikes and mtn bikes and they are very happy with Motobecane and bikesdirect.com for the great service they have received.
