Did anyone else hear the OLN commentators talk about the official annoucement that they'd weigh the bikes of the first 5 riders across the line today. It didn't seem too unreasonable to me for the officials to do this, but the way they commented on it, apparently it's not standard practice. Does anyone know more info on this or why they decided to do it?

I doubt Floyd has to worry. Those BMCs aren't that light, from what I've heard.

becuase the first 5 finishers road like their were super light bikes. a comprehesive drug test on the first 15 would be better.

the mountains didn't slow them down.

They decided to weigh them since they couldn't make Floyd change the position of his handlebars.
