Actually, $700 was for the whole bike, including SLX, Super Record, and that cool leather handlebar wrap. This is a Tour level bike from the mid 80's.

High eBay prices are a myth. Anything that shows up with any regularity (SLX bikes, Super Record, etc.) sells for less than its value in other retail forums.

Oh yeah, and the purchase was tax deductable!

And tax deducable, too and for a very worthy cause. Nice, nice bike - you gonna ride it? It looks like it ought to be in a museum! I have a 90's Basso Loto SLX - I guess I can kinda/sorta relate.

Needs tires. You got ripped off.




(BTW, don't buy no stinkin' cheap tubulars for this bike-it deserves better)
