He will take the yellow jersey in the Alps but will fall and break both collarbones going down the steps from the podium. The guy has the worst luck ever with collarbones. I would like to see him succeed but he seems cursed.

as long as McEwen is there, he doesn't stand a chance because the team won't give him 100%. I REALLY hope he podiums, that would be great!!!!

But is Phonak giving Flyod 100% in the hills? I don't think so.

I don't think this year its about how much team support you have in the mtns - there really isn't a super team like Disco/Postie this year.

Looking at the results of the first TT, he will have to have the TT of his life to win and the others will have to fall off the pace some.

A podium spot is a big possibility, but winning it might be a bit far out of his reach. Of course he could push it to hard, go down, break a collar bone and be out of the tour.

With Floyd out like that, maybe Cadel's team will work a bit more for him. It's not like McEwen really needs help to win sprints.

As for strong teams, T-mobile has a strong team yet their team work sucks. Rabobank work better has a team, Menchov, Chicken and Boogerd have proven to be a good trio in this Tour. But I'm still rooting for Cadel.
