I'm looking for a relatively low cost quality wheel set. I currently have Bontrager Race Lites.
Want to make a change if it makes sense. I live north of Dallas, rolling terrain, no big climbs, LOTS of wind. What are the differences between Campy Zonda and Proton and how do they compare to the Bontragers.
Thanks

will get a lot of information. Second, I have Protons, and I think that they are a quite good wheel. OTOH, I don't think that they are an order of magnitude step-up over the Bontragers. Better than the Bontys? Probably, and the Protons would be my pick of the two, but I don't think that you are moving very far up the scale. IMHO, you should take care of the Bontys, ride the hell out them, and when they are all broke down, splurge and buy some super wheels that are a significant step up. This as a reward for riding so much and for using the heck out of the Bontys.
