Hi, I'm a larger rider (86kg) who spends half the year doing road only (drop bars) and half the year doing Triathlons (tri bar/position). I was just admiring Landis’s BMC SLC01 on the tour and thinking of getting this instead of a Scott CR1, which I have had my mind on for a while. Which is the best frame as I have not seen any CR1’s on the tour – is there a problem with them?

Also, anyone reckon the Scott Plasma would be okay for normal riding 6 months?

Cheers,

Those BMC bikes are cool but I surprised you're not looking at the Cervelo soloist either carbon or aluminum. They have the reversable seat tube that would make them the perfect bike for you.

For 1/2 tri 1/2 road, the Soloist Carbon would be at the top of the list. This coming from a LOOK 585 rider.

Saunier team rides Scott for the last 2 years.
