Greetings! This is my first thread here.

I bought a late '80's lugged steel road bike about a month ago (photo attached, I hope, if I did it right). The well-made frame is Tange 900 tubing, it's equipped with Shimano 105 throughout, including the original Biopace chainrings (Shimano date codes in late '86 and early '87 are how I've dated the bike ). Just in case I screwed up the photo attachment process, it's a lovely lavender color with "Hunter" in block letters on the seat tube, "Corsa" in smaller cursive on the top tube, and a decal badge that says "Hunter Cycles, Inc." It weighs in at 23.5 pounds ready to ride, which is okay for a bike of that era, particularly considering the 63cm frame size.

The only mark on the frame is the serial number - Y7B1523.

This is NOT a Hunter made by Hunter Cycles in Soquel, California; that much I know. One poster on this forum (the only one who talks about the brand, that I could find) mentioned about a year ago that Hunter was a house brand in the Southwest about 15 or 20 years ago, and mentioned that he thought they were Maruishi frames. Anybody know anything else about this mystery ride?

I will mention that I'm really pleased so far ... after a good cleaning, repack of all bearings, and a new stem with 60mm extension instead of 100mm, I'm having fun with it.

Thanks, folks; any and all comments are appreciated.
