thinking about replacing the standard Mirage/Mavic CXP22 wheels on my giant, and i noticed the Sciroccos and Zondas, is there a major diference between them? Is there a oticable distance for the money?

While I can't comment yet, my local shop has a set of Sciroccos on order for me. They highly recommended the wheels - they said they felt very close to the ride of the Euros, but at a fraction of the price. I'll report back next week after the new bike is built.

The Scirocco wheels have a Veloce quality hub, Zonda's are Centaur. The Zonda is lighter and the front wheel is radially spoked for 2004.

Where is the best place to find them in stock and CHEAP? I was actually looking at the Vento also, but they carry a bit more of a weight penalty. The Sciroccos seem like a good compromise between price/weight. I found them at cbike.com for $250, but only in a Campy hub. I need 9sp Shimano.
