Martin Valdez and Sanitago Roman are working together to SCAM people. I responded to an ad posted by Martin Valdez on 7/08/06. The post was for a Santa Cruz Superlight. When I got an email back, he avoided most of my questions about the bike, such as, why he was selling the bike. I told him that I wanted to purchase the bike, and he said he would sen the bike and once I got it, I would send the payment. This sounded too good to be true - as most people would never send a $1300 bike without getting any payment. I then got a bogus USPS confimation email, saying USPS has the bike and will hold it until the sender says to. This is not even a service that USPS offers!!! The bike said it was being sent from Santiago Roman in Chicago. Martin said Santiago was his cousin. I wanted to get the serial number from him and he said the bike was already packed so he could not get it. I requested he use PayPal, and he said he could not becasue he lost money on a transaction. He then said that he would use Western Union, and wanted me to wire money through Western Union to Santiago Roman. READ: WESTERN UNION SCAM ALERT! Stay away from this guy and I encourage everyone to report him to USPS and Western Union.
