I know that Dave has to have a Look frame in that magnificent pile of frames in his attic that is just begging for a full Mavic Mektronic group. So here you go. I was searching through some local shops and saw that R&A in Park Slope seems to have one listed on their website.

$780 for a full kit. Enjoy

I particularly like the multiple shift buttons. One on the top of the hoods and one behind the brake lever. Something Campy and Shimano should think about.

looks kinda OK, but is a bit heavy so there isn't really any advantge to the system compared to regular cable, considering the occasional miss-shifts. plus, be wary of finding parts down the road. mavic's stuff prior to this was wonderful indeed and now rightly escalating in value.
Good to see R & A has some cool stuff left. Is there still a nice bunch of steel frames hanging up near the counter. There was a dark green De Rosa with no fork a few years back and I thought not to be greedy and left it for somebody else. 56cm if I recall.

Come on...we're talking about a group that's at least 4 years old (Mavic stopped production in 2002) and was prone to more problems than my bad knee. This is about finding a really rare French frame and building it up with a rare french gruppo! Maybe this belongs in the form over function thread from a few days ago.
R&A still has some cool stuff around, but most of the frames hanging up are new carbon jobbies. If you walk around you can see some nice NOS carbon, Al and steel frames. I'm guessing that news got around about their ridiculous stock of fine NOS Casati's in all kinds of sizes and tubesets.

Sorry, but that's a hideous looking group. I've heard of it before, first time I've seen it. The shifters look like they are from Alien, and that rear derailleur defies words.

You think that's bad, take a look at it on the bike:
