anyone have the slightest idea where I could download OLN's TdF theme song? I'm sure it would get me in the mood for riding hard with not only it's rythm but everything it's associated with.

uh who? don't think i was alive back then. definetly didn't watch the TdF anyway.

I searched around other forums and found an answer: there is none. one of the posters called OLN directly asking about it. they said it was made w/o a name or artist. so totally unavailable. dang.

No that shouldn't be true. Mark Wood, a classically trained violinst prodidgy turned hard core rock violin pioneer did the recordings for OLN's TdF coverage and I believev the olympics as well? Try these links www.woodviolins.com and www.markwoodmusic.com, and www.mwmp.org/index2.html and see what you can come up with. They are fantastic instruments by the way. I own one of his custom made 6 string fretted vipers. Any aspiring rock violinists should check out his sites. Good luck.

Did John Tesh do the music back in the 80s? I actually liked that back then. I know I much prefer the live coverage we get now, but for 60-90 minute weekly highlight shows, I though CBS did a good job back in the day.

I thought it came from a movie. I thought some of it was either in Quick Silver or American Flyers, unless that was the ABC music.

I like Rob Zombie music when I am on the trainer.

Noovo Groovo Montage on the "early" album has some quotes from Phil in there.

This one's still the best - maybe because it's pre-Trautwig?? :)

those are later jazzed up versions, NOT what was used for the telecasts... they sold the original stuff as cassette tapes from ads in the back of bike mags of the day, and there was no "cover", just plain black and white label stuck over the original Maxell label
