I'm going to be spending about a week in Port Hardy while my wife does some research work up in the Queen Charlotte Islands. I'll have both my road and mountain bikes with me. Any suggestions on rides in the area? I'd prefer road rides from 20-100 miles and mountain bike rides that are at least a couple hours in length (I guess about 20+ miles or so). TIA

I live about 2 hours from Port Hardy. There is not much in the way of road riding except for HWY 19. You can go 50miles south, and then turn around and go back. It's rolling, but no major climbs.

About 2 hours south is incredible road riding, one of the tougher paved climbs in Canada 12 miles, 7percent average, and no shortage of road routes.

I sent you a PM with some further details.

Thanks for the note Allan. I can make the drive if I need to. Will I see it on the drive up to Port Hardy?
