Anyone know how Seven puts more stiffness into the Race? I'm guessing beefier BB area, maybe thicker butting? I noticed the Race is generally heavier.

Given that both are custom and you can specify the relative stiffness of the SG shouldn't be any reason not to get the SG as stiff as you want it... or as stiff as the race.

i disagree. as much as i love my seven geometry and ride, the one thing that i hate about seven's build process is that if you want a frame close to the race stiffness, they won't let you do it. period. even if you wanted an 8 on the 10scale; that's what i wanted, and was told a firm no. there's a threshold limit to which they'll spec a frame to a certain stiffness w/o it being the race version; otherwise, be ready to fork up some more dough to the "custom" builder.
