I've used tufos for the last few seasons with their sealant and have had super luck. not one flat in 3 years. i picked up a pair of challenges and wouldn't mind running some sealant. Any of you use a sealant in these? Suggestions?

if you search sealants, you find people using tufo latex in other brand tires, vittoria pitstop, stans stuff, slime ect..
i guess pretreating is the safest method.

So Stan's No-tubes (the regular stuff) works well in the Latex tubed tubulars?
Is it the same (active ingredients) as the tufo sealents and the like?
I'm curious about this too. Do the Grifo's have a removeable valve core to enable you to add sealant like the Tufos? Any side effect of using Stans or Tufo sealant on the butyl (?) liner?

from what i can tell the stans and tufo are both latex based. i just did a little smear test on the fingers. the tufo set up a lot faster than the stans did. if i'm right the grifo has a latex tube, don't know for sure, can't even guess at how the selant and latex tube would get along. as to the grifo valve Q it does not have a removable core.... which leads to the question of how to get it in there?
anyone?

The new ones (from at least two years ago) do. I used Tufo sealant in my Girfo's last year with zero flats. Oops, hope i didnt jinx myself with that last comment. Got a race tonight & I'll probably double flat now. :)

and folks have used sealants in them here as well. I haven't yet, it seems when I flat one, no amount of sealant is gonna help. I usually tear a big a$$ hole in the sidewall

I've fixed both Grifos and Dugasts with Stans. Only small punctures and in tires that have a slow leak, but those seal so well that I've used the tires for literally years with no problems.
