I'm thinking about doing the SVBC Century in Harrisonburg next weekend, and I'm sort of curious about how challenging it is. Anyone have an opinion?

I'm always surprised how tired I am when I finish, but it's also very scenic and on lightly traveled roads. I'll be there again this weekend with probably a couple hundred other folks. One of the coolest sections is the last 20 miles or so, when we're sharing the same roads as the Omish families. They're coming home from church service in their horse and carriages, and we're drafting and passing them. (-: You just have to be careful not to bike over the "engine exhaust"... |
