View Full Version : Seeking advice on a deal gone sour (sort of)

I bought a frame from someone on this board, and the frame, though not quite the "as new" that was advertised, is indeed almost like new with a bit of touch-up paint. It works, rides great, no worries.

But, the seller promised me that they would include the seatpost and headset. They didn't arrive with the frame. I sent an email wondering if I needed to send more money for shipping the post and headset, and the seller said no, they would be sent along ASAP.

Over two weeks later, no headset and/or seatpost.

The original advert was for the frame only, and the headset and seatpost were promised as throw-ins with the deal. The seller was prompt about responding to emails before I bought the frame. Now that I have the frame, and simply want to know about the post/headset, nothing, despite repeated emails.

Part of why I want to know is so that I can source another seatpost, but part of it is to know if this person is going to follow through, if it got lost in the mail, or what the deal is.

Any advice or suggestions?

Kevin

Kevin, if the seller promised you a headset and seatpost, he/she should send it to you free of charge. It's not your fault that the seller forgot to send it with the frame. I would send another email as a final demand. If they don't respond "out" them as a bad seller.

I understand that the seatpost and headset were a freebee but if the seller promised them, they should have sent them
