As daylight fades and cyclocross picks up, and am looking for a new indoor training regimen.

I am thinking of investing in a spin bike (I have rollers and a fluid trainer already, but want something that I am more stable doing interval work on). I've looked at the Schwinn's, the Lemond Revmaster, and the Cycleops Pro 300PT. The Cycleops feels the most like a bike, and has a power meeter and other cool electronics, but is expensive. The Lemond is quiet and smooth, and the Schwinn is the least expensive.

Anyone have any thoughts on this decision? Is the Cycleops worth the money?

Thanks
Jay

I like the feel of the original Schwinns best...haven't tried the Cycleops. Hate the feel of the Revmasters...

The original Schwinns are now Star Tracs. Schwinn just started selling indoor bikes again recently, though they may be the same bike???? - TF

My wife rides our Cyclops almost daily (she doesn't feel safe riding the roads alone) & loves it. Our health club has LeMonds & the Cyclops beats them hands down!

I'm not sure how much the Cyclops' are, but I like my Lemond. It's not so much what you use as long as you use what you have. It's done wonders when getting home late or no time for a real bike ride when I can get on it and do an hour ride and get a hard workout in.

I looked at the Schwinn too, but like the smoothness/quiet ride of the Lemond. If I had the $$$, I would've looked at Cyclops as well.
