Soma customer service apologized for the unfinished repair and will now replace the frame. I can once again recommend them. Thanks for all the support.

I can ride my Soma with piece of mind. il sogno 09-28-2006, 04:41 PM Great. Was it because of your LBS, the RBR post, or FBB going to Interbike and knocking heads together? bigbill 09-28-2006, 04:55 PM Great. Was it because of your LBS, the RBR post, or FBB going to Interbike and knocking heads together? Could have been FBB or maybe ATP. I gave him the scoop at the velodrome tuesday night while drinking free beer and watching trackies ride around hitting a pinata with sticks. He left a message on my cell phone yesterday from Interbike telling me he was hanging out with Dario Pegoretti!!! MB1 09-28-2006, 04:57 PM All's well that ends well. Did 415 say hi? JP 09-28-2006, 06:32 PM nice... wayneanneli 09-28-2006, 11:59 PM Good stuff Bill. I would like to think that we, your pals here at the lounge, had somethign to with inflicting a little peer pressure on Soma to get off their behinds and fix this problem. Whatever the case, glad to read things will be worked out. Cheers, Wayne two wheel texan 09-29-2006, 04:12 AM Sounds like maybe someone in the upper echelon of Soma got wind of how this was handled and decided to do the right thing. I am sure all the bad PR from this thread possibly helped sway their decision. It is comforting to know they have decided to stand behind their product since I have one of their Smothie ES frames also. Chris H 09-29-2006, 05:12 AM Glad to hear they made this right. Especially since I saw a few things on their website the other night that I wouldn't mind picking up (coffee cup holder comes to mind, unless I decide to make it myself). Also, classy of you to start a new thread so that your favorable conclusion doesn't get lost in the clutter of the old thread. You definately get perks from me for that move. Enjoy San Diego and that southern California sun before you have to go back to the drudgery of Hawaii... wait a minute, two sun drenched temperate locales... how fair is that!!! bigbill 09-29-2006, 05:05 PM The Soma guys have a nice post over on the bigangrybill thread. Worth a read. |
