Besides the school in Oregon, does anyone know of any frame building schools? I live in Ohio and was hoping there was one closer. Thanks.

Also check out frameforum.net and the framebuilders list at bikelist.org. -Nate links0311 10-09-2006, 11:44 AM does anyone have a contact number or email address for Mr. Fattic? Thanks. -Beau nw60312 10-09-2006, 12:14 PM Beau - He posts on the framebuilders list, you might also do an archive search. You might post something to grab his attention. Some guys post a lot, other may take a week or so for a response. He might also be out of the country. -Nate tubafreak 10-09-2006, 01:23 PM You'd probably be better served doing an internship/apprenticeship at a frame shop. You'll learn more there in a short time than you'd learn in any school (as is usually the case). If you want to get some relevant experience first, learn how to TIG weld (GTAW if you're being technical), it's perhaps the most useful skill (aside from design) you'll learn, so it's helpful to know that ahead of time so you just have to refine your skills. merckxman 10-10-2006, 12:45 PM Doug Fattic Cycles 914 South Third St., Niles, MI 49120; 616/684-6761 curlybike 10-10-2006, 07:51 PM http://www.brewracingframes.com/id56.htm http://www.hottubes.com/framebuildingclass.htm http://www.timpaterek.com/index.html Durandal 10-11-2006, 08:20 AM http://www.classicrendezvous.com/USA/fattic_doug.htm Has his E-Mail too. |
