The weather has finally turned here and I'm falling off my summer riding frequency. I've been thinking about riding a fixed gear this winter to keep things rolling, and was planning on a dumpster diving kind of approach. But the season is here, and I think I'll be putzin around till mid winter if I don't make a move soon. I'm now focused on buying a frame and going from there. The ones that pop up most frequently are the Surly Sroller, Soma Rush, and the IRO MarkV or Angus, which seems like a nice frame at a good value(and10% off right now). I'm mostly interested in this as a training bike, 30-40 mi rides on mildly rolling terrain. Anybody riding these frames or have any specific input?

IRO makes good quality stuff. I've got their drivetrain on my fixie right now. I'd send them an e-mail outling your riding style and what you'd like to do with the bike, they can make a reccomendation as to what works for you. They're pretty quick responding to e-mails.
