Hey everyone...as a first post on this forum, I'm asking for help. I'd like to know what roads/trails people ride on near Kansas City, MO. I'm training for triathlons, and what I'm looking for are roads that are SAFE primarily...I honestly don't feel all that safe riding on the side of 50Hwy out where I live...

Anyone have any ideas?

I live just off 50 in Lees' Summit and I know the fear of which you speak! For bike clubs, I know of 2 Johnson County Bike Club and the Kansas City Bicycle Club.
http://www.kcbc.org and http://www.jcbikeclub.org Plenty of girls in each most of whom were 22 at one time. You should join both!

Last summer I spent the whole summer in Florida, and it just seemed like people were much more aware of bikes on the road than they are here in Missouri...obviously FL. has many more riders I think...
