Great ride.Finished the 100 miles in a little over 6 hours(good for me).The race was well organized and as always the Mchenry Conty Bike Club was friendly and gracious.Thanks to all for a great ride.Even Menge Rd. heading South :( .

What bike were you on - I rode the 100 started at 6:40am. Completed it in 5 hours, 40 mins. Found Menge Road South a bit of a challenge as well given the wind. The hill at about 90 miles wasn't welcome eiter but other than that it was an excellent ride!

I finally caught up to that line of skaters on Garden Prairie Road. I clocked them at 23MPH when we went around them. That's before the sun came out and the roads dried up. I have no idea how many miles they completed but was sure impressed with their skill level. On the way back into the wind from the 100 mile loop, we had a guy go by us on some low-slung recumbant. I thought we were standing still the way he was moving. Great ride....a bit less turnout from the previous year...but still something to do again next year. I did miss the grilled hamburgers at Darien....and also the cops giving tickets to the guys that failed to come to a complete stop at the S/S.

..who almost got ticketed there.He somehow talked his way out of it.I thought that was pretty lame of the cops to do that.I also missed the hamburgers but the watermelon hit the spot.
